Everyone at the Radio Station would like to Congratulate Danielle Jenkins a Rhondda Radio Volunteer on receiving the Senior Members Award in the Youth Achievement Awards. 

UPDATE ON OUR LAUNCH DAY BALLOONS

On Monday 26th October 2009, Rhondda Radio's official launch day we released over 50 balloons with our information attached.

Over the past week we have had a few calls and emails, and our first reported balloon sighting was from a gentleman named Chris in Hampshire.  This was followed by Emma in Chippenham, Jo in Worthing West Sussex and one in Wilshire.  The latest balloon found was by John from Newport who found one under his car.

Keep your eyes peeled for our unique blue Rhondda Radio balloon, as there may be some still floating around somwhere..

Congratulations to RCT Radio Project's Sharon Morris for being selected as a finalist in the 2008 Western Mail Welsh Woman of the Year Award. Although Sharon narrowly missed out on her award in the Woman in the Community category she was pipped at the post by the winner of the overall title. Well done Sharon from all your friends and colleagues at the radio stations
